This summer, we enjoyed our annual cottage vacation with dear friends and their two girls. Shopping downtown one day, our little Alina found a small jar filled with fairy dust. The four girls spent the afternoon creating an adorable fairy village in the cottage garden, and went to sleep hoping the fairies would come enjoy their offerings.
Late that night, we grown-ups headed outside to watch the stars – and found fireflies!! So the fairies came after all!
Of course we brought some into the bedrooms, where the girls drifted back to sleep surrounded by magic.
Maya is 8 going on 16 right now (ha!), so I love this chance to capture her sweetness, innocence, and pure childhood belief!
